10th Annual Way of the Cross

Join us for the 10th consecutive Way of the Cross in the heart of the city on Good Friday, March 30, 2018 starting at 12:00pm at St. Peter. Once again, this commemoration of our Lord’s Passion and Death will wind through the streets of downtown and stop at selected locations for gospel readings, meditations, and songs. Be prepared for rain or shine as the way of cross will take place independently of weather conditions.

Are you a singer? Consider joining the choir as we prepare a couple of songs from De Victoria’s responsories.

The Lord is Risen Indeed, Alleluia!

Thank you to all those who once again participated in our annual Way of the Cross.

We couldn’t have asked for a better day.  The weather was great, local news agency followed us around, and many onlookers observed reverently as we passed by.

More importantly, as one of our participants later told me, people felt we were there with Christ as he was living His passion. This is what the Way of the Cross is all about: to be reminded of Jesus’ great sacrifice for us by reliving what he lived on Calvary.

And now that we have carries His cross, we can rejoice in His resurrection!

Happy Easter!

Mostly sunny weather expected on Good Friday

According to weather forecasts, Friday is supposed to be mostly sunny with temperatures in the high 80s. We highly recommend wearing sunglasses or a hat and comfortable walking shoes. Make sure to bring a bottle of water, it will get hot once we start climbing up to the Capitol Building.

We look forward to seeing you all on Friday at 12-noon.
